City Manager Blaine Cox and Mayor Caroline McCarley wish to provide regular updates to the community regarding the City’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic as officials continue to monitor the crisis locally and nationally.
Public Assistance Program Informational Webinars
The New Hampshire Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Management (HSEM) will conduct webinars over the next few days on the application process for reimbursement of costs incurred as a result of emergency protective measures taken in response to COVID-19. This particular reimbursement program is through the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Public Assistance Program and is available for some non-profit organizations in the state, as well as local government.
The seminars will discuss application procedures, administrative requirements, funding, and program eligibility criteria for the FEMA Public Assistance Program for the COVID-19 disaster.
Pre-registration is required and a link to the seminar will be emailed to you once registration is complete.
The seminars will be held on:
- Saturday, April 25 at 2 p.m. This session will be for non-healthcare private non-profits, education or other eligible organizations. To sign up, click here.

Participants are encouraged to attend the session that best fits their organization and will only need to attend one session. However, they are welcome to attend a different session should that work better with their schedule.

DMV Guidelines Regarding 20-Day Plates
The New Hampshire Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV) has announced that all 20-day plates issued the DMV or an authorized New Hampshire dealer on or after February 26, 2020 will now be valid through May 31, 2020. This originally extension for the expiration date of these plates was April 30, 2020.
