Chief Paul Toussaint is excited to announce that the Rochester Police Department’s annual Skate with a Cop event will take place next month, and invites the public to attend.

Saturday, Feb. 1

  • Public skate: noon to 1:30 p.m
  • Hockey game: 1:30-3:30 p.m.

Rochester Ice Arena, 63 Lowell St.

Community members are invited to come connect with officers from the Rochester Police department both on and off the ice at the third annual Skate with a Cop event.

Families are also invited to watch and cheer on members of the department as they play in a hockey game against the Granite State Cannons Veterans Hockey Club.

Admission to the event is free. Skate rentals will also be free, but on a first come, first serve basis.

“This event has become a great tradition for our department,” Chief Toussaint said, “and it’s something our officers look forward to taking part in every winter.”

Those planning to attend are asked to bring one non-perishable food item per person to support the Spaulding High School Raider Station Student Pantry. Suggested items include Pop-Tarts, cheese and/or peanut butter crackers, granola bars, Nutri-Grain bars, Goldfish bars, fruit cups and fruit snacks.
