McClelland Elementary School held its Vocabulary Parade on Friday, Nov. 1, featuring many interesting and well thought out “costumes” that depicted the vocabulary words chosen by both staff and students.
Each student was assigned a vocabulary word from their classroom teacher. Students then created outfits, or display the word somewhere on the outfit worn that day, that describes the meaning of the word that they have been assigned. Staff members also participated and can get pretty creative with their outfits! A fun and enjoyable way our educators use to promote learning.
Parents and family members were welcomed and came to watch as students were called out by grade level to join the parade that went around the front driveway.
