Since Curlies Comedy Club opened over a year ago, the nighttime hot spot has established itself as New Hampshire’s only full-time comedy club.
Located at 12 Union St., Rochester, Curlies opened in November 2017, and provides professional live entertainment, fundraising events, and community functions.
In addition to hosting frequent shows by professional comedians, Curlies also holds events including Family Game Night, “Music Trivia Wednesday,” and a Thursday “Rookie League” comedy night featuring amateur comedians.
Curlies also serves a menu that includes paninis and wings, sides and custom cocktails.
The club is owned and operated by Joshua Guptel, a Rochester resident. He said when it came time to decide where he wanted to open up his business, he chose Rochester because he wanted the comedy club to contribute to the local economy.
“As a Barrington native and Rochester resident, it was important to me to keep my business, and in turn my money, in Rochester,” Guptel said.
Curlies Comedy Club is open Wednesday through Saturday, from 6-11 p.m.
