Chief Mark Klose and Rochester Professional Firefighters President Sam Morrill teamed up on Sunday to host a pancake breakfast to benefit Firefighter Tyler Thurber as he battles lymphoma.

Firefighters served more than 500 people and exceeded our goal of $5,000 for the day.

“We cannot thank the community enough for their continued support with Tyler’s fight,” said Sam Morrill, president of the Rochester Professional Firefighters Local 1451. “We are extremely proud to work in a community who comes together and generously donates to people in need.”

The Rochester Fire Department and firefighters also want to thank everyone who donated items and time to make the breakfast possible.

RFD is now looking forward to Sarah’s Ride on September 8 starting at Rochester Harley Davidson and The BBQ Cook-off on September 16 at Thompson’s 2nd Alarm Diner 421 Central Ave Dover.
