The City of Rochester’s Colonial Pines sewer project was recently featured in the trade magazine NASTT-NE Northeast Journal of Trenchless Technology Practices.
The project was the first phase of installation of a full gravity flow sewer system in the Colonial Pines neighborhood — which will one day serve 200-plus homes.
The newly installed sewer line earned recognition overcoming the challenges associated with connecting the neighborhood on the east side of the Spaulding Turnpike with Rochester’s wastewater treatment plant on the western side.
Phase one of that project was completed last fall, and future phases are expected to be completed in the coming years.
