1 min read

A new 24 hour warming shelter will open at 5 p.m. today, Wednesday Jan. 3, 2018 at the National Guard Armory at 106 Brock Street, Rochester.

A decision was made in cooperation with New Hampshire Emergency Management to open the shelter before the weather starts Thursday. Cots and supplies will be moved from the Rochester Community Center location to the Armory for the opening this evening.

This will be the regional shelter for Strafford County.  Everyone is welcome at the shelter for the duration of the storm. The warming shelter will be open 24 hours. There is no deadline to cease operations at this time.

Additional volunteers are needed for the duration of the shelter’s operations.  Please use the updated sign up genius:  https://m.signupgenius.com/#!/showSignUp/60b0e4caeaa2aa2fb6-rochester
